My name is Martin Martinov, I'm born and I live in Bulgaria.

I am an IT specialist - a web developer and open source software enthusiast. My expertise lies with LAMP setups (Linux - Apache - MySQL - PHP). I am capable of administering a variety of Linux distributions (Gentoo Linux is my preferred choice).

My primary skills are as a PHP developer - over 6 years of commercial experience. I possess considerable knowledge of JavaScript, XHTML and database design & management. Currently I'm working in the Open Source department of a Danish company named Propeople. I'm spending my work hours mainly working with drupal - the best open source content management system (CMS) out there according to many people and competitions. Another recent experience I've gained are some e-commerce sites build with magento. I really like it when I have the opportunity to develop cool things based on CodeIgniter, ZendFramework and jQuery.

Some of the things that give sense to my life except developing web applications are travelling, hiking, skydiving, rock climbing, flying and making photos. Recently I've got interested in building aircraft models and I hope to put some photos and videos from the build process and the flights of my first plane soon.
